CHORSU BAZAAR DOME - UZBEKISTAN

Tashkent has the best architecture in the old part of the city that survived both the earthquake and the subsequent Soviet rebuilding. Two of the most highly regarded are the Oloy bazaar in the modern part of the city, and the enormous blue-domed Chorsu bazaar in the old town. Chorsu Bazaar, a huge open market beside Kukeldash, draws crowds of people from the countryside, many in traditional dress. The bazaars were also loaded with amazing dried fruit and nut mixes.
