HTILOMINLO PAGODA - MYANMAR


"Htilominlo" means "Happiness of Three World" in Mon language. Htilominlo Pahto is one of the larger temples in Bagan, was built by King Nantaungmya in 1211 AD in Bagan. It is a two-level temple, oriented to the east, with a massive upper shrine and a sikhara-type finial. It rises 150 feet above ground level. The square base measures 140 feet on each side. Upper floor hall is reached from the ground floor by two stair cases built in the thickness of the walls.
